We have become "Harber" together. I want us to have a future, a good future.

While working as a salesperson for another company for eleven years, Ann Dalager realized she wanted something more. "I'm from an entrepreneurial family. I had the desire to control my own destiny and do the right thing what I thought was the right thing."

She had the foresight, but not quite the right team in 1995 when Harber Industries was established in Eden Prairie. She suggested Harber, but did not become owner until 1999. They moved into a leased 33,000 square foot building in Brooklyn Center and in 2004, Ann partnered with Don Jameson to co-own Harber Industries. In July 2006, they moved into their new 41,000 square foot building with the help of an SBA 504 loan that funded the new building, equipment and capital. "Mike of CMDC helped with the site search and facilitated the process. The support of CMDC and the City of Ramsey turned out to be a wonderful mix. I very much recommend CMDC. They are very responsive and you get to know them at a personal level."

Harber currently employees approximately 40 part- and full-time employees, which grows to about 100 during high volume times. "We're really in the business of management labor," Ann says. "Right now, we have thirty-three projects for eighteen companies. It is a very labor-intensive service that we provide."

Harber Industries provides supplementary and complementary services to the printing industries, specializing in finishing services, such as, cutting, binding, packaging and fulfillment services.
